Tourism Bureau creating a new brand for Taiwan’s hot springs

台灣從南到北蘊藏了19處珍貴溫泉,此次為台灣打造溫泉品牌,發掘地域特色DNA,讓美學以溫度串連在地,規劃專屬的沐山儀式,以「山湯」谷關溫泉區為示範點,用新的視野為台灣溫泉轉換新形象。
Nineteen precious hot springs can be found across Taiwan. This project aims to establish a new brand for Taiwan’s hot springs. It starts with an exploration into individual hot springs and their unique features or “DNA.” Aesthetic concepts, hot spring geography, and local features later come together in the planning of a comprehensive set of activities for each area. Using the mountainous hot spring of the Guguan Scenic Area as a starting point, new perspectives are introduced to create a fresh image of Taiwan’s hot springs in toto.
谷關溫泉鄉

GUGUAN HOT SPRING

依山溫泉原鄉,以進入中橫的關口與圓滿溫泉池、身旁的生態山林圍繞和文化底蘊為入山旅遊的真實感受,構築出谷關溫泉鄉意象。
A natural hot spring that emerges from the surrounding mountains, the Guguan Hot Spring can be accessed by Taiwan’s remote Central Cross-Island Highway. Tucked away among mountains, the area has gradually become known for offering visitors perfect hot spring pools, a thriving forest ecology, and a vibrant local cultural heritage. 
金山・萬里溫泉鄉

JINSHAN・WANLI HOT SPRING

傍水之獨特溫泉環境,取自「金」字意象,寓意著硫磺礦產區,勾勒出在地泡湯文化與金山萬里溫泉鄉山海之行旅特色。
To capture the seaside hot spring environment that is Jinshan Wanli, this logo features an artistic rendering of 「金」, a character that means “gold” or “metal” in Chinese. It’s chosen in consideration of the area’s long-standing connection with sulfur and mining. The character’s individual components all point to the unique geological, scenic, and cultural features of the Jinshan Wanli Hot Spring area.
